Samuel Findley Breeze Morse, the inventor of the telegraph was a direct
descendant, being the son of Anthony Morse of Marlborough, England, who
emigrated to America in 1635 on the ship "James" to Newbury, Massachusetts,
one of the Puritans, and either wife Mary or Ann. Records received were unsure
of which one. Anthony was also the father of Benjamin Morse (1640), and other
direct descendants are Benjamin Morse Jr. (8-24-1668), Abel Morse (1692),
Oliver Morse (1730-1770), Perley S. Morse (1-11-1768), Moses Hazen Morse
(10-10-1803), and Moses Perley Morse (DOB 9-4-1850 thru 2-22-1920).
